How to become a web editor

To start the profession as a web editor it is important to first have passion, in fact there is not a degree nor training course that provides a certificate to perform this work. It is necessary to own some characteristics if you want to undertake this road:

  • know how to write grammatically correct and fluent Italian;
  • know and have a good command of English;
  • be able to search and find, possibly quickly, all the information about the article you chose;
  • be able to compose articles in a rather limited time;
  • be interested in the internet and all its forms of communication;
  • know how to use writing programs and familiarity with various types of browsers, social-networks, emails, etc.
  • not copy/pasting from other sites and/or sources.

A good springboard could be to make yourself known on the many web channels, for example through Twitter, specific blogs, personal blogs, sites, online magazines and continuing to search for information and make it as personal as possible. This helps us engage with users and to receive a certain number of positive and negative feedbacks (we aim for positive). It is also worth saying that you do not have a real "workstation", so a clear advantage is the possibility to carry out this profession wherever you want, clearly always reporting to someone who develops the activity. I would like to conclude this informative article with a sentence that the famous Pasolini addressed above all to young people: "Remember that you will no longer have so much desire to know and love as in these years: and you must savagely take advantage of it, read and learn like a madman".

If you want to become web editor make this writer's teaching your own, the rest will follow.
